A Nigerian Twitter user: @Perrisonoromoni, has narrated how his 12-year old cousin, who is a student of Dowen College, Lagos State, was allegedly beaten to death for refusing to join a cult.

According to him, the deceased mentioned the names of five persons responsible before he finally gave up the ghost.

He was reported dead on Tuesday.

In a series of tweets, Perrie claimed that the school authorities called the boy’s father, Sylvester Oromoni, a politician from Delta State, that he got injured playing football.

However, on getting to the hospital, it was confirmed that the victim was bullied and beaten, which caused internal bleeding.

“This is my 12 years old cousin that was beaten to death at a school that cost over 1 million naira.

“They tried to put him in cult, he refused and they killed him. Secondary school o.

“Anybody that can kill me now should kill me now.

“My brother won’t die for nothing, (mentioned names of some students) and Dowen college, jst knw he called your names before he died.

“Yes o. They tried to put him in cult, he refused and they killed him. Secondary school o.”

He also threatened to fish out the culprits as he highlighted the names mentioned by the 12-year-old before his death.

It can be recalled that on Monday, the Commissioner of Education in Ogun State announced the closure of 12 secondary schools in the state over students’ unrest.

Meanwhile, the authorities of the school have reacted, saying there was no such thing so cultism in the college, that the student died from injury sustained during a football game.
